Securing car on trailer

Please give your recommendations on securing your car on an open trailer. I am looking at straps with cordura sleeves to run through the wheels to the D-hooks. Is this the best approach for securing it safely with no damage to the car?

yes, you really dont have many other options, you cant use control arms and the like, you just have to be carfull because if you make them too tight in the front it can throw your car out of aligment.

Trailer tie downs

If you can stop a flat bed driver and ask him where he gets his supplies. I had straps that had one ring on the end. You just fed the straps through the wheel, then the ring and then to the "D" ring on the trailer. I used this on a 996 GT-3 with a Trailex trailer, worked great. If you are concerned about scuffing the wheel, you can use old terry cloth towel strips between the strap and the wheels. Good Luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I spent some time on Rennlist and there is a lot of material on this over there. Several people add the Tie Down Hooks from Autometrics. I may look into those as an option.
