Texas Motor Speedway August 11th-Need more entries!

The Driver's Edge is hosting a night event under the lights on the roval track at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 11 from 6pm-12am. Last year I got 4 20-25min sessions and it was a blast. Cost is $195 I believe.

They NEED more entries in order to make this event happen. If you haven't ran this track, it's quite the experience pulling g's through the banking at 140mph+.

Contact Rick@thedriversedge.net for more info and/or visit their site, www.thedriversedge.net

Thanks guys.

I'm not sure why it's not selling like it did last year, there's still some spots open but the event is scheduled to go on. It ought to be fun this year on race tires and having some more seat time. Last year was a blast, here's a vid...

Not anymore, that was my first time at that track and only my 2nd event. I turned it off later that night, there's more than enough grip in the banking than I could have ever imagined. I wasn't sure how the street tires would hold in the banks at high speed.

Event is still open! They're taking anyone solo approved from any organization now. This is an exciting, high speed event, all under the lights.

Here's my vid, you guys missed out on an awesome event. There were TONS of Porsches, by far the most represented brand.

I think the cup cars were in the 1:35ish range.

Sorry but that track looks boring. I guess it would be fun to be on the "famous" track but the track layout isn't impressive. Then again - it is a ROVAL.

Btw, whats the story behind the 911TT that was seriously damaged?

Everyone always says that and just on paper, I probably would have to agree. However, running flat out (~140mph) through Nascar T1-2 and T3-4 is an absolute blast. Also being at night is a lot of fun as well, and offers a break from the heat. For anyone that's never done it, you have to try it at least once.

I believe the turbo that was damaged lifted too much in the middle of the infield chicane and looped it right into the armco, I didn't see it or talk to many people about what had happend, but that's what I heard. Crunched up the front end pretty good, but not sure how much actual damage was done.
