If your car still has AC then its not going to make a difference wether is on or not, real race cars dont have AC, electric windows or radios

OOHH Yeah?????

Go check the ALMS/ACO rules for GT2, section 14.6

Just breaking your chops, your right 99% of the race cars out there dont have a/c.

i say if running your a/c makes you more comfortable run it, getting hot and fatigued will slow you down more than your a/c will!!!

I think there's too much governing going on IMO. Windows down in DE? It's a requirement because in the event of an incident it makes things easier for the safety crew and track workers.

But how often do you see that really come into play? When we go to the track we already sign waivers that said if we accidentally die, we are okay with it. So I think we should be given the choice to run windows up or down. Now, if it is something like dark tint windows then yes, require that to be down.

Same situation with SCCA now requiring only certain neck restraints. Come on, I should have the choice to break my neck if I want to... it should be optional! I can't believe they out lawed the ISSAC device. I think it's a superior design...

A/C on will also keep engine temps down because not the rad fans are always on while the A/C is on.

Yup running A/C at the track is usually frowned apon, but yes the DME will shut off A/C actuation when at full throttle is requested with your right foot.
