Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news. The motor will be ready to start setting up on the engine dyno this coming week. It's been only six and a half years.
We need to finish up some work on the engine management system and then we are good to go. It is going to start becoming very interesting.
Maybe we should have a contest to see who can guess the magic hp/torque number for 2.8 bar.

Sonny,
Those bhp numbers for hp were exceeded with our 4.0L motor. Can't say the same for the torque. But ....... we will note them anyway.

The nice part about this test is we will know the bhp of the motor, then we will know the rwhp or the awhp when tested again. There will be no more guessing of the loss factor people add for the drivetrain.

I thought I'd try to be sneaky and extrapolate something from some of the other 1000+ hp builds. Yeah, that's not gonna work since you've got so many things going on that no one has ever done afaik. So, this is my SWAG (sophisticated wild azz guess), I'll say at 2.8 bar you'll be just shy of 1800 hp.

not sure about that. He is pushing so much more volume and so much bigger turbos, that I would say he will be pushing 1100 at 1.1 bar and probably 1700-1800 at 2 bar. but who knows
can't wait to see this finished

I have little doubt that you're probably right. I really have no idea what he's going to make at 2.8 bar. So I decided to be conservative with my highly scientific swag. That way he can completely shock us, we can write a 10 page thread dedicated to his atomic power and he can feel good about it when he blows my junior high estimate out of the water. See, all very scientific

We believe we solved the worry about the Porsche case coming apart after a certain power level. That little detour took us five months out of our way.
Let's make it a little simpler. What are your predictions at 1.2 bar?
We are currently choosing the other tuner that will work with Performance Developments on the engine management, engine dyno and chassis dyno tune. There may actually be a third tuner brought in with a proven track record on turbo/nitrous systems.

Well at 2.8, my estimates are actually north of 2k hp. At 1.2 it's actually tougher to estimate, but I'd shoot for 900 - 1k hp.
As far as tuner help, I'd feel fairly comfortable suggesting Jason Siebels.. He's fairly accomplished in that arena.

The first and only name that comes to mind for this in mind mind is Shane Tecklenburg.
