Which evo intake chad? Is it the intake plenum, intake (the Venturi cone) box or intake manifold? You've got a lot of intakes!

Alex,

You can see a pic of it on page #87 of this thread. It is the piece between the throttle body and the heads. With this piece the splitter is eliminated.

I'll check as to the price. What mm TB do you need it for?

As for the spare motor. The internals are stock except shuffle pinned, GT3 oil pump, 102 mm Woessner pistons/barrels and Pauter rods.

Thanks man... I need it for the stock 996 throttle body. I forgot the sizing on it but it's the next one up from the 996TT...

sharky,

I called Rob, he had some additional questions to make sure you get the right piece. He asked for you to give him a call.

Sharky,

Speed Gallery is another source for a modified intake plenum (T-pipe) behind the 996 TB.

Craig,

Do they make the splitter for the larger than stock TB's? I believe the 996 NA TB that sharky is refering to is appprox. 74/75 mm. The one I have is for a 90 mm TB.

CJV, Speed Gallery offers these intake plenums for both the OEM 996TT TB and the 75mm 996NA TB. I use the 75mm 996NA TB and corresponding intake plenum.

Sharky, I have no idea how much the intake plenum costs by itself. I purchased mine as part of an entire intake system. Call SG at (818) 766-2321.

cjv You should read the August issue of 911 & Porsche World. There is an arcticle about how 9ff is building their high HP motors. They talk about oval pistons, Nikasil coated steel cylinder liners, etc. Pretty interesting.
