I have a V1 and couldn't be happier. Saved me tons of cash already and gives fantastic warning distances.

Ive had plenty of use with the V1 and Beltronics RX65 Pro. Both are exceptional but I would say the Beltronics was a little quicker to alert and less prone to false positives.

There was a really good and thorough review a couple years back, Beltronics took most of the top awards

Laser jammers are only illegal in nine states so far.

Radartest.com is run by a guy named Craig Peterson who works for Bel and Escort so he bashes the V1 every chance he gets. He got busted trying to sabotage the Guysoflidar.com 2007 radar detector test and he will probably have to part with a couple thousand dollars on top of the $1000 radar gun that he hid under camoflauge on top of a mountain to throw off the testing.

Nothing beats a Valentine One in radar and laser detection.

And it just happens that California is one of the 9 states.

Radar Detectors

Having spent 25 years in Law Enforcement, the best detector is your right foot. We have new gadgets that are point and shoot. Lean out of the car, shoot the beam and presto, press hard 3 copies. By the time most detectors activate your ticket is partially filled out. Companies are always coming out with new technology for law enforcement as it's an easy sell. Me I stick to track days and the occasional short burst in my 996.

LOL

Sure not speeding is the best way not to get a speeding ticket.

Since I got my radar detector I have not got a single radar ticket (one plane timing me though).

I think the benefit of a radar dector is not to slow down once you have been radar'd but to pick up when they are radaring a car in front of you.

I have a K40 with a laser scrambler in my Boxster S which works very well. It tells you whether the signal is coming from the front or rear. They also have a lifetime guarantee that will pay any ticket you receive. Only downfall is the high price.

The K40 scam is an overpriced POS with marginal radar detection and it failed to jam any lidar guns used by the police.

OK. Forget the comment above about wanting to know the price of the K40.

Yep, I agree with that. My uncle has a K40 in his car and my V1 beats eat by a mile. It did ok when coming out on jamming laser guns, but it is a very old design and the technologies have advanced, so it can't do **** now.

I've had the laser jammer work on many occasions. Wall Township in NJ uses laser and the jammer has saved me many times. The price is $1,300 installes but it was worth it to me. The Boxster's extremely angled windshield causes a normal radar detector to block a large range of view. The K40 is integrated into the head and taillights and has never failed me.

Once you get used to the V1 and can tell whats real and whats not and check out the arrows and use your mirrors and keep in traffic,, you wont get a ticket.

I ve detected instant on when it was shot at cars infront of me.

The worse scenario is when you are alone speeding and you get hit by instant on,, nothing will save you.

But the radar detector is only 50% of it ,, the noggin upstairs is 30% and good luck is 20% of avoiding a speeding ticket while speeding.

Thankfully, since my V1, not a single pull-over or ticket.
