There is nothing special about 4.2L on these motors.

Your three limitations are the physical limitations of liner size and the swing of the crank. Followed by the physical limitations of the rod length that relates to piston rod ratio or piston speed. Most people try to keep this close to the 1.60 to 1 range.

Simply what does this mean. A piston size of about 105 mm is stretching things. A 82.4 mm crank is also getting real tight. As for rod length, good luck getting any longer than 130 mm. This is the big limitation.

Options are what Koro did. Change the case dimensions and length of the timing chain. They did this with the NA application motor ..... not the turbo motor.

By the way, the above will render (not the Koro case/heads) 4.3L ....... actually just below 4.4L.
