1982 VW Rabbit Pickup- Pre-restoration Video
Hey guys,
As some of you guys know, I will be getting my license here in about a month. I cannot explain to you how excited I am because it means I will be able to expand my business and go mobile. I will now be hopefully taking bi-weekly trips to either North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington D.C. (and northern VA), Maryland and hopefully a few larger trips will arise.
This car will hopefully drive me to all those places, with either a cap on the bed (we have like 4 caps right now that fit our trucks) and/or a trailer made out of the rear end of one of these trucks (which I have to finish getting some welding done on).
ANYWAYS, the car was dropped off at the painters today. I did a little walk around of the car. The shop is not the greatest but they are cheap. We are not really doing all that much other then painting it. I am thinking I will probably be painting it the Porsche white instead of VW white.
What is going to be done at this shop you ask?
Aside from changing the color; rhino guard in the bed and along part of the rocker panels, and wheel wells.
We have the drivetrain off a GTI that will be put in. I will put GT3RS decals on the car (in the blue color), BBS spoked style wheels with either blue or white smokes and chrome along the sides.. Upgrade the disks in the front (and to disks in the back), powder coat the calipers blue.
hmmm... I have some plans for the car.
And then finaly just little stuff like change the letter on the gate to blue...

sorry for the bad video quality, it was taken on my iphone. Also, the old guy at the end is my father, not me.
