I use to frequent vwvortex, but like the rest of you I cannot stand it anymore with all the wannabe "e-thugs" that hang out there. I love my 337 and am all for a VW section here. Good idea.

I love my VW golf.
Whoever was saying they were gonna get a GTI for a DD... DO IT.
I drive one every day at work, and its honestly the best car in the range. get the 6speed though

I like vdubs, but I don't really think they fit in with this site. I'm not trying to insult your cars or the pics that were posted, I just don't think an entire VW section would fit in too well.

thanks for the nice comments anyone. the mod list is as follows (but there is so damn much that i prolly left a fair amount out of the list):
Interior:
Sparco Fighters w/Schroth 5 points
Stripped out back seats and trunk insulation
Audi TT lower center console
Euro gauges
ICE:
NONE. haha
radio delete - thats what the ipod is for
Exterior:
35% tint all around
Brakes (one of my favorite mods):
Porsche 993 TT front setup
ECS rears
Engine:
Full Stage 3+
- Garrett GT2781R .86 AR
- 3" full race DP (no cats)
- Milltek exhaust
- 480 cc injectors
- Bosch inline supplementary FP
- Bosch 4 bar FPR
- custom REVO ECU tune
- Eurojet FMIC
- N/X nitrous injection for FMIC (cooling)
Suspension:
KW varient 3 coilovers (awesome)
Neuspeed 28 mm rear sway
Lots more where that all came from. Just don't have the time to think all the mods out right now haha. Car should be putting out about 350 hp at ~25 psi.
Some more pics with the other cars of the stable:
one of the bike for fun
and some of the S4 and gti:
and some fun ones:

That's pimp Bruce!
Yup - What headlights did you go with? I am thinking of changing out mine on the R.
Also, does anyone know a good place to pick up a replacement R32 front bumper? Mine has holes in it from the front license plate and some lower lip damage and I would like to get a new one.

I've always liked VWs too, just picked one up last summer as a beater / car to take to Mexico. It's a Mk. 1 Cabriolet with the following:
2.0L stroker with techtonics head/cam/pistons/full exhaust, neuspeed throttle body, bilstein shocks and eibach springs, Quaiffe LSD, shortened gearbox, Neuspeed upper STB, homemade lower tie-bar and front engine-mount reinforcment. Momo steering wheel, Rota wheels / Yokohama tires.
It's nothing special, but for $500 I couldn't resist...

The headlights in my R32 are euro spec 25th anniv lights with HID coversions. I didn't like the look of the factory HID's and I wanted a smoked look. Also the rear are euro-spec R32 tails, black badge... all available from www.evolutionsports.com they should be able to get you a bumper also
and i don't ever remember saying that the two SUV's are not a joint venture did I? Did I ever say anything about the companies not working together or anything like that? NO
IF you look at what they whole forum is and how it is... that is where alot of people don't see a VW forum working... it is a highline car forum. I LOVE vw's and have alot, I mean ALOT of friends that own them, but it doesn't mean that it works with this site.
that is my opinion... sorry... i am not trying to make it sound like a snob
