295 Tires on 11.5" Wide Wheels

Has anyone mounted 295/30-18 tires on 11.5" wide wheels? If so, were there any issues with that combination.

i have them on 18 x 11 at times with no issue.
they will go on 11.5 i think easily but not for track work - you will ride on the shoulder under hard driving.

i tried, for interest, to see what it would look like on a 12" and whilst it fits, it looks silly and the rim is far too big.

the tyre itself will have an influence.

I had 295s on my 10.5 wheel, I would go with a wider tire for 11.5

In Japan its not uncommon to stretch narrower tires onto wider wheels. Ive seen a few Lexus and Infiniti's done like that before. If you want something more performance, go with a narrower wheel or wider tire.

I have done it, long story, it works and I have not had any issues. 305's or 315's fit much better. The tires looked stretched, more of \ angle than normal when looking the tire sidewall. I recently did a run on some tight twisties, hard enough to break the tire traction in the corners, and the tire held up fine. I would say the run was about 30 miles of hard driving (back tracked the same road several times) I have PS2's on the the wheels.

Realistically you should be going with at least a 305. Tire width varies manufacture to manufacture.

I personally wouldn't do it, and it's definately going to look stretched. If you can fit a 305 that's what I'd shoot for. You look to be at stock height in your avatar, but I don't know exactly how much room you have to play with.
