996 NB Fitment Question -- Wheel experts come on in!

The attached chart shows the fitment for C2 NB cars.

If a rim from a WB car in the rear was 19 x11.0 and the offset is 39mm compared to the required 52mm on a NB could this be remedied with a spacer? i.e my fitment shows a required offset of 52mm and on the WB the offset required is only 39mm? Or do I have this backwards? Anybody with experience please chime in.

FrontSizeOffsetFinishBolt PatternList
19 x 8.5 45 Silver w. Polished lip 5 x 130.00
RearSizeOffsetFinishBolt PatternList
19 x 11.0 52 Silver w. Polished lip 5 x 130.00
19 x 11.0 64 Silver w. Polished lip 5 x 130.00

Thanks

You have it backwards...the Higher the offset the further in the wheel will sit, and the lower the further out...so if your car requires a ET+52 and you put on a wheel that is an ET+39, then the wheels will be sticking out 13mm...a 1/2" inch basically.

Hopefully this answers your question.

Jim

Hi Jim, I was enquiring about the fitment of the above rims. In general I am looking for a five spoke design, maybe with a dish. 19 inches.

My car is a 996 C2.

If your car is the one in your avtar it appears to be an 02>+ C2...if so you can run a 19x8.5 front using an ET+40-50MM using a 235/35-19 tire, and for the rear you have 2 options...you can run a 19x10.0 with a ET40 using a 275/30-19 tire, or you can run a 19x11.0 with a ET+52 and use a 315/25-19 tire.

We have a few 5 spoke design wheels that we offer...attached is an example of a 997 with a set of our NUTEK 501 wheels, the finish was a full brushed finish on the center and outer, and black ceramic on the spoke face and black ceramic pinstripe.

Feel free to email me directly and I will send you some other examples to review jim@nutekwheels.com

Regards,
Jim
