Angry Cracked spoke on SSR GT3 rim : what to do next ?

Don't know what triggered it, since I'm always careful with my car and do not recall hitting potholes.

Guess this rim is not repairable...
I was thinking, since these are 3 piece wheels, is there any place which just sells the center piece of the rim ?

Thanks !

Maybe you can try going to this site, and checking with the dealer locator link. Can you post a pic of where the crack is? I have the same wheels, although in 18in version. Did you experience any symptoms after the crack, or just noticed it by accident while cleaning the car?

Wheels are 2 years old, 19 inchers.
I actually heard a strange noise while driving top down. Kind of a clicking. First thought I had picked up a nail or something in my tire from one of the construction sites nearby. Turns out the clicking was generated every time the cracked spoke was at the bottom of a wheel rotation, thus carrying maximum load. Scary...I'm running some major HP.

Mine are 2 yrs old as well, and have held up so far. Strange because the centers of the wheels are supposed to be even stronger than the barrel, as the centers are semi-solid forged.

Oh well. Good thing you caught it. Good luck with fix.

I also own these rims also and I love them. I have one off the car and am bringing it to a local wheel shop to have it trued. Issue came up during a road pressure balancing. The 2 shops that came up as reputable and quality are: Long Island Rim Repair and USA Wheels LLC (where I am bringing mine) (check the web) You might contact them before discarding your GT3 rims, looks like either of these shops should be able to help you. PM me is you decide to not persue a repair as I may be interested in your rims. I love mine and it would not hurt to have some "on deck in case"
