Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Anyone know if Michelin will release sizes for 996 C4S???
225/40/18
295/30/18

So far I haven't seen anything on the web that supports this theory.

225/40/18 listed, no love for your 295/30/18 yet.

I'm hoping for a 315/30/20 myself.

Grab a cup of coffee or a beer and check out Michelin's site on the tire. There's lots of new technology in this tire you guys need to see. It's full of great animations and videos explaining the advances in the new tire. I'm really excited to see these hit the streets. This tire really does look to be a great leap forward.

And for what it's worth, I personally IMPLORED with the Michelin guys directly responsible for the release of this tire when they were here to not turn their backs on any relevant Porsche sizes. Let's hope they listen. There will be more sizes released as they move forward.

Porsche does intend to N rate them for the 2012 911, but I'm not sure yet what the new sizing will be.

Cayman 18" 2007 size is coming out April 15th, and cheaper than PS2s. Should be a win-win as they are supposed to last longer, and be stickier... pretty good math if you ask me!

Not sure about needing an N rated tire in US, but no sense in starting that flame war.

Hopefully, someone will be kind enough to do a write up on these in the near future. I will be in the market for some new tires pretty soon.

Damon- AS SOON as these are available in 996 GT2 sizes, I'll buy- immediately.

Michelin, are you listening?

How long do you suspect they will continue to make the PS2?

Love my MPSSs from Damon, especially coupled with my new (to me) HRE P40s. Did the changeover from snow tires in my driveway, one hour job (tops). Only a few dozen miles on the tires so far but seem quiet (compared to the old PS2s) and grippy. Doing a 300 mi round trip to Manchester, VT this weekend for the NER Porsche Ramble. Should be a great way to break in the tires!
