Question Powder coating wheels

Wanted to know if its possible to powder coat the center piece of a 2-piece wheel only(leaving the lip and bolts in normal form). I was told by one of a local powder coater that it cannot be done, unless I do the whole wheel or paint, is this true?

yes, you can easily powder coat the inner part of the rim and leave the outside as it is or coat that too

i have first hand experience with a wide range of powder coated wheels and we have never had a problem doing any of them

You must take the wheel apart and then you can do it. You can't just put the whole wheel in there and tape off the lip and bolts. < I think that's what the guy probably thought. Unbolt the centers and then get it done.
