Bentley GT tire to tie rod measurement needed

I wonder if someone could measure the distance between the tie-rod end and the edge of the tire on a Bentley Continental GT or Flying Spur?

I put a set of Bentley 9J x 19 5-spoke wheels and Pirelli PZero 275 40ZR 19 tires on my 2004 V8 Phaeton and have about 1/2 inch of clearence. I can just about slip my index finger between the edge of the tire tread and the tie rod end.

I'm wondering if the approximate clearence is the same on the Bentley? One tire shop thinks my tire is too close. I think the Phaeton and Bentley suspensions are the same so the clearences should be identical. Who is right? I don't have access to a Bentley to measure it. My Phaeton has the air suspension and all wheel drive (4MOTION).
