Hi Damon, I just came across your thread on the sale of spacers. I know what I'm looking for but don't know it's effects. Maybe you can help. Here goes, I have an 07' C4Scab, currently lowered 1/2 inch at all corners and the stock turbo wheels, that came with the car when I bought it. I'm looking to bring the tires/wheels out for a better/more aggressive look, I occassionally track my car and may end up getting track wheels if I need to later on, but would like to get the agressive look of having the wheels out further. I know that too large a spacer may change the steering dynamics, does this mean, that I may need to add more suspension work to compensate? I have the the bilstein coilovers and sway bars, plus front strut. I don't want the wheels to rub, thus I would appeciate your imput; I think I would like at least the 7mm in front and 15mm, maybe more, need to see pictures of the rear, if that works? The pictures noted above on the white pcar is what I would like for it to look like. Your time to answer this is much appreciated, thanks

jzaman.....18 and 23?
I'll assume you are talking C2 offset wheels? (57/67)
Cause here's 7 & 14 on regular SIIs 997.2 19s (57/51)... lowered car.

RE: 996 narrow body
I was looking to add 7 mm spacers, but I was told that they will not be hubcentric because they are not thick enough to have the hubcentric ring/lip? If this is the case, then what is thinnest spacer (10 or 12) that will have the hubcentric lip?
Thanks for your help!
Thanks for your help!

With my stock lobster 19's, I ran 15mm rear and 7mm front.

I can't recall- But I do know there has never been an issue with using them. Keep in mind that Porsche sells OEM 5mm spacers, and I don't think they would offer anything that did not fit right due to being too thin.
If there is evidence to support the "too thin to fit right" theory I'd like to see it. Personal experience says it is urban myth.

Thank guys, I appreciate your input.
Alan, I have a 6GT3 with stock wheels (18 x 8.5, 40mm and 18 x 11, 63mm). I wanted to push out both the front and rear just a bit more with the 7mm spacers (I don't feel that 5mm is noticeable enough). I know that my standard offsets are already good, but I ran across these two cars with the ATS/9ff set-up (18 x 9, 35mm and 18 x 11, 55mm). So, my question is: would you advise for or against using the 7mm for my street application?
Thx!

jmla- Running spacers will not affect anything, it is more for looks to "fill out" the wheelwells. The only issue you can encounter is if you space the wheels out too far and rub fender.
Going by my previous 996 and current 997, you can space the rears out another 18mm without issue. On my 996 I ran 15mm spacers on all four corners with stock 18" rims and there was still plenty of clearance. On the 997 I had 15mm spacers rear and 7mm front. I would probably recommend one of these setups for yours, since the above recommended spacer sizes were passed on to me from other members here.
Make sure you pick up the correct size longer wheel bolts along with the spacers, I'm sure Alan can help you with that as well.
