mfletch, your Kinesis centers look anodized are you going with ano or powder? Either way Kinesis is a very nice wheel and should turn out great either way.

Thanks ISIS. Two of the wheels are the original anodized finish and the other two have been redone in powder. I'm going to have the two anodized wheels refinished in powder.

I got the tool from Germany and done the job myself, I will say it takes time to do the job correctly and had to spend a good bit of money on a very accurate torque tool.

I need my SL III's rebuilt as well so I've been looking for a place to do it. I will definitely give TR a call and probably just stop there.

Can I be rude and ask how much it cost to have them refinished? I don't have enough posts for PM yet, so don't feel obligated to post publicly.

Shipping alone approached $1k, stripping/prepping done inhouse saved big $$$ there, powdercoating $450. New titanium hardware I think was another $4-$500. Do not remember what TR charges where for disassembly and reassembly. In the end with new Sport Cups i was in in over $4k

so many people disassemble and color their three piece wheels like they're changing underwear it's comedic.

oz3s are top notch wheels better than anything any american company offers (e.g. hre).

however, blasting the centers certainly voided your warranty with OZ. i personally wouldn't have done it, but it's yo $ and time.

Damon is a top notch TR sales rep. i've bought several sets of wheels from him.

great communicator.

Glad to see this post is still alive. Doing this set was a lot of fun.

I did a quick search to give you an average of part costs, but they vary by wheel. These numbers are close however.....

COMPONENT ITEMS

OZ 3PC OUTER RIM:
19X1 $169.00
19 x 3 $243

OZ 3PC INNER RIM 19X7 36HOLE $222.00
19 x 8.5" inner $253

OZ VALVE STEM $9.00

SL3 CENTER 19 5-130 $464.00

OZ STAINLESS STEEL BOLTS $2.00, Titanuim optional, $5 each

Rebuild labor $30 per session per wheel

Hope this ballparks it. 18" is slightly cheaper.
