CSF Cooling's Sleeper 986 HP Turbo 991.2 is One Cool Customer
If ever there was such a thing as a "sleeper" Porsche 911, this potent 991 certainly fits the bill.
Showing Off
Some guys talk the talk, others walk the walk. And while only a small percentage of modded Porsches will ever see track duty, Ravi Dolwani's 991 911 was built for it. You see, Dolwani is the owner of CSF Cooling, so he needed a vessel to test out and show off his wares. In the process, he built one heck of a sleeper, as Super Street recently found out.

Standing Out
SS stumbled across the Porsche in, of all places, Coalinga, California. That's where it was participating in the Never Lift half-mile race, a wildly popular event that's quickly attracted some quality competition. Still, this 911 stood out in that suffocating field for a number of reasons.

Collecting Clues
On the surface, this Porsche doesn't look like much. In fact, the centerlock Advan GT wheels are one of your few exterior clues as to what's really going on. The interior packs a few more hints with the requisite Sparco seats, custom upholstery, and a roll cage.

Money Where It Matters
The real money, as they say, lies under the hood. There's you'll find a fully built EvoSpec mill with a pair of BorgWarner turbos hanging off of it. The combination makes a healthy 986 hp and 807 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, good enough for a 186.03 mph half-mile blast.

Perfect Showcase
That stellar speed, coincidentally, made this 911 the fastest German car and quickest Porsche at the two-day Never Lift showdown. Thus, we can't think of a better showcase for any manufacturer/seller of aftermarket parts.

Represent
"As the owner of CSF—and coming off the heels of both our Evo X and BMW M5 builds—I was looking for another demo vehicle that would represent us in the best way possible as the brand continues to grow and gain awareness around the globe," Dolwani explained to Super Street. "But rather than getting a car that showcased what CSF is about, I wanted to challenge our company to showcase what CSF is capable of."

Repeatable Performance
Obviously, anybody can throw a built twin-turbo motor in a 911 and go fast. What CSF wanted to build was a car that could repeat that kind of performance, over and over, in the heat of California. And that's where the company's cooling systems come in.

Keep Your Cool
Clearly, the car's intercooler and radiator systems were up to the task. Considering how much heat turbos generate on their own, this kind of setup is key whether you're flying down an air strip or not. But it's obviously even more important if you are.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
Perhaps more importantly, however, we're just digging CSF's 911 for what it is. And that's a rather mundane-looking sleeper with some beastly potential. It might be hard to classify any 911 as such, but if anybody deserves the title, it's this wolf in sheep's clothing.
