EV West

To really understand what you're about to experience in this article, you'll need to at least be familiar with a brand like Tesla. Actually, any electric motor company will do. But this one in particular is a specialist in converting gas-powered vehicles to electric. You could even charge it in your own home! In a way, this is setting the stage for something like a life-size RC car. Luckily for this build, the powerplant required no cutting or retrofitting to make this work. The original factory mount holes were used and the only alternate need was for an axle from a Porsche 930. The vehicle in this article is a 1977 Porsche 911.

E-RWB

You almost end up reading that acronym out loud a couple of times to make sense of it. E? RWB? E-RWB! For those not in tune (haha), RWB is short for RAUH-Welt Begriff; a Porsche tuner located in Japan (now with US Operations in California) Dylan is the part-owner of StreetFighterLA. He is the owner of this creation and the aesthetic portion of this classic Porsche is given a facelift thanks to the RWB kit. You bet your top dollar that it was installed by none other than Nakai-San himself on location! What's great about this kit is that it further accents the already timeless design of this future classic.

Plug-n-Play

It is ALL in the details. With a build this specific, there are plenty of details incorporated that one can easily miss or overlook. For example, the plug-n-play '9Eleven' headlights up front. How about the 4,000 foot-pounds of torque the motor produces? Adding to that this combination makes 563ewhp (electric wheel horsepower), which is comparable to 700hp at the crank of a gas-powered motor. Wait-What?! TRE brand 911R taillights don the rear end of this beauty. Elephant Racing supplied a custom adjustable suspension while Pelican Parts was a huge influencer in Porsche Restoration.

Classy future

These 2 words have been used to describe Porsches for decades: a future classic. This particular one instantly represents this in so many ways. Keeping the integrity of the body was a great feature of this build. But, the interior is another part of this creation that lends so much class and style while providing the owner with as many creature comforts most cars have while also providing some safety elements. The interior is comprised of leather, Alcantara, chrome, and Burberry plaid which was supplied by Rogelio’s Auto Upholstery. The chrome, plaid, and glossy white all blend together beautifully.

Crowd pleaser

The results are in and the car was received very well at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. It was displayed at the Toyo Tires Treadpass. Crowds formed around the car and we can only imagine the reactions once they learned how far it was from its original iteration in Stuttgart, Germany. One thing is for certain and it's that a true enthusiast can still appreciate something like this because it is largely in part a massive customization that works and works very well. When you think about the future ahead of us, Porsche has already paved the way for a modern looks future electric car with the upcoming 'Taycan'. But, when you see a classic car tastefully modified with a surprise of a power plant, you can at least appreciate the vision it paints for the future of automotive tuning.
