Navigating in Style

Getting through the terrain surrounding one of California's greatest mountains is not for an ill-equipped city car. Yosemite National Park extends nearly 1,900 square miles along California’s Sierra Nevada range.

John Chuldenko, an American film writer and producer, took his family for an unforgettable tour through these majestic highlands in a car nearly as majestic: the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo.

Peace

There's something quite serene about driving a Yosemite pass. The scent of clean air and pine trees, that dry heat, a feeling of disconnection from the real world—the way which time seems to pass more slowly. All these can be experienced in a moderately quiet car. In a silent EV, the sensations are even more pleasurable.

Never Too Far

The range of the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo and the expanded EV infrastructure in California means that adventure can be had without worry. On the same day that Chuldenko and his family drove through this tunneled-out Sequoia, some of which have a circumference of 30 meters, he was able to plug in and charge at their lodge that night.

Family Friendly

Like giddy kids who hate sitting for hours at a time, the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo occasionally needs a recharge. Both children and vehicle can get what they need in as little as 20 minutes. Provided the kids have some form of diversion, the journey can proceed without any stop-related drama.

Versatile

With the Taycan 4 set to gravel mode, Chuldenko was able to climb above the cluster of 3,000-year-old trees and seek out the perfect vista for an unforgettable photograph. For skyline seekers, photographers, and mountain climbers, the versatility of the SUV makes it more than a luxurious tourer.

Spacious

The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo is far more than a plush Jeep. More than just rugged and capable on loose terrain, it has the trunk space needed to fit a family of four's luggage as well as a recently acquired, slightly overpriced chainsaw-carved wooden bear his girls named “Gunther.”

Inspiring

With these different attributes, the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo has the thing all true journey cars need: the dependability to go somewhere on a whim. Spacious, versatile, efficient, comfortable, and stylish, this SUV checks all the relevant boxes and should, with any hope, keep the younger generation interested in an impromptu trek to the mountains.
